Angelo Patane is in his 14th year of practice. Earlier in his career, Mr. Patane collaborated with two other attorneys to help win a $1,500,000,000.00 (one billion, five-hundred million dollar) jury verdict, the largest verdict in Arizona history. Mr. Patane also has the distinction of having reportedly won the largest verdict in a short trial, a special jury trial program in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Mr. Patane spent nearly five years working on the inside as a trial attorney with Farmers Insurance, one of the largest insurance companies in America. He has been lead counsel in hundreds of arbitrations, bench trials, and mediations and dozens of jury trials. For distinguished trial abilities, Farmers Insurance recognized Mr. Patane as its Trial Attorney of the Year 2000. Mr. Patane is a graduate of the Farmers' Insurance / National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) College, a specially designed, intensive trial advocacy program for selected and qualified lawyers.
Mr. Patane previously handled litigation efforts on behalf of health care providers, hospitals, and such major corporate clients as American Express, Federal Express, and credit card companies. Mr. Patane has written dozens of appellate briefs, including briefs for the Arizona Supreme Court and United States Supreme Court, and has argued before the Arizona Court of Appeals.
